Playing Bingo

A. Come early and get settled in for an good time. This will give you a chance to purchase your bingo cards, daubers, electronic/computer bingo devices and anything else you might want to play. You have several choices when choosing what to purchase. Arriving early will also give you a chance to clarify any questions you may have about playing bingo. Our friendly team of workers always available to help.

PAPER 6-ONS:  The most typical pack of bingo sheets players purchase are 6-ons. A 6-on gives you six bingo cards per sheet, per game. You play the first set game on the top sheet, the second game on the next sheet, and so forth. In other words, for each bingo set game played, you have 6 chances of winning.

ELECTRONIC/COMPUTER DEVICES:  Electronics are the easiest way a player can play multiple bingo cards at once. With the touch of a button, 66 bingo cards can be played at once.

MINI GAMES: These games are sold separately from the regular set games and give you a chance to “warm-up” prior to the start of the regular set games.

DOUBLE ACTION: This is a popular alternative to a typical bingo sheet. Instead of 1 number per square, this specialty bingo paper has 2 numbers per square. You dab when either number is called, only needing to have 1 of the 2 numbers in the box. This typically leads to a fast-paced game that players love.

Double Action Paper

SPEEDBALL:  This is a coverall/blackout game which means you must dab all the numbers on a card to win. The reason we call it speedball is it is a much faster version. The numbers are called quickly one after the other, until one player dabs them all on their card and wins the game.

DAUBER: Ink daubers must be used on paper bingo cards for a valid bingo. For your convenience, we have ink daubers available for sale at all our locations. Ink daubers come in a variety of fun and exciting colors and cost between $1.00 and $2.00 each.

EVENT TICKETS: Event tickets are sold all throughout the session. Once all the tickets sell out, the event game can start. An event game winner is determined using the bingo flashboard. Common events are races games and dab games.

FLOOR WORKERS: Throughout each session, floor workers are on the floor selling extra bingo paper sheets, events tickets, verifying winners and more.

WHEN THE GAMES BEGIN

The caller will announce the first ball. When you see the selected ball on the TV monitors, you may mark your paper. When the caller announces the number and places it in the caller’s machine, the number is officially valid and in play. At that moment your electronic/computer device will update. If you have a bingo, yell “BINGO!” after the ball is called and wait for a floor worker to come pickup your card for verification.

When you purchase your bingo cards, you will be provided with a program of the games being played. Each game will have a different winning pattern such as the ones shown.

A. The following criteria constitutes a valid bingo:

  1. It is the PLAYER’s RESPONSIBILITY to yell “BINGO” loud enough to be recognized by the caller.
  2. All marked numbers in the required bingo game pattern must have been called except for the FREE space.
  3. A valid bingo must also include the last number called.
  4. Ink daubers must be used on paper for a valid bingo.
  5. The caller is the only person to verify your bingo is valid.

At any time during the session, a customer may verify the numbers drawn at the bingo blower upon request.

The valid number for any game (Bingo or Event) will be the actual number that was drawn out of the blower regardless of what was called or where it was placed on the Flashboard.

A. Each bingo will be validated by the caller before payouts occur. In the event of multiple winners for a single bingo game, the prize amount will be divided based on full and half pay buy-ins.

A. If the bingo blower malfunctions during the course of a bingo game, the game will be halted at the last called bingo ball until the blower is fixed. When the game is resumed, the last called ball should be repeated before calling the next number. TLC Rule 402.200 ( c ) (6).

If the machine cannot be fixed, the games will be halted. A refund will be issued to the customers for the cards purchased for games not played. (Refunds will be allocated by the prize amounts for games played divided by total prize amount for each pack times the cost of the pack, not by the number of games.)

If a customer’s card minder is not working properly, the usher should ask to caller to pause until a new card minder can be issued to the customer. The employee should explain to the customer that the new cardminder will not have the same card faces on it as the previous cardminder. If this does not satisfy the customer, the cashier or operator in charge may decide to refund the customer for games not played on that cardminder.

A. Cutting or splitting of bingo card sheets/packs is not allowed. Cut, split and/or divided paper sets are null and void.

A. Refunds are only permitted in the event of a power loss to the point where bingo cannot be safely conducted or the entire electronic card minding system is malfunctioning and not operating properly. In such cases a refund will be offered at a prorated value.

Any refunds offered NOT due to malfunctions will be in the form of Bingo Gift Certificates.

A. If the caller places a ball in the wrong slot, the caller will remove the ball from that slot, and place it in the proper number, lighting up that number. The caller will announce that the ball was in the wrong slot, and that the number slot it was in has not been called. The correct number should be repeated. A bingo will not be awarded to patron because of an improper ball placement.

If the caller announced the wrong number, he/she will announce that the wrong number was called, and announce the correct number. A customer will not be allowed to bingo on a wrong ball announcement.

All disputes will be handled by the operator on duty. All employees should refer complaints and disputes to the operator. The operator will write down a short description of the dispute and the resolution and maintain these notes in a file at the hall. The dispute will be resolved after reviewing all facts, the Bingo Enabling Act and Administrative Rules. Rule 402.200 (n)

A. Event games are easy to play and fun to win! Players love them and we play a wide variety throughout each session. Learn how to play Dab Event Ticket Games HERE and Race Event Ticket Games HERE. We are constantly adding to our library of events shown on these pages so visit often to find out what’s new!
